Jake's proficient trumpet playing landed him the distinction of the youngest
musician to play in the Marine Band at the age of 17. After 8 years with
this honor, Jake decided to become a teacher and freelance musician in the
San Diego Area. At this time Jake was asked to work on the soundtrack to
Pearl Harbor, where he also landed a physical roll.

In addition to his career in theft deterrence and criminal dehabilitation, Jake

is an arranger for local high school Marching bands and teaches the

Esperanza Drum and Bugle Corps in San Diego. Some of the musicians who

have influenced Jake's life over the years are John Wildes, Calvin Price, Tim
Morris, and Walt Johnson.
